My husband and I were driving down the highway in Houston the other day. I happened to look up and spot one of those adorable Chick-fil-a billboards. If you live in a part of the country where there are no Chick-fil-a restaurants, you really must try it when you are traveling - YUM. Anyway, those silly cows say the cutest things, but they just CANNOT SPELL!! I have decided to use their messages during one of the beginning "editing" lessons this year. The students will LOVE it. My message will be: "It's ok if COWS spell incorrectly, but we, as a "higher life form" have to be able to spell better than cows!" =) lol I believe this will be highly motivating and a fun way to make a point that spelling incorrectly makes you look maybe not as smart as you want to look. We all need to do our personal best on each assignment.
